Take this weapon into fights with experience, rather than for its brute strength.Īlternate with Combo Card: After the initial horizontal swing, holding down will make Chuck spin around rapidly, Defiler extended, while slightly moving forward. While dealing out a high amount of damage, the Defiler's swing speed is fairly slow, and some psychopaths may not only recover from one attack, but might even counter attack before the next hit connects. While this is also fairly devastating, after swinging, Chuck must stop, stagger backwards, and regain his balance an action which, more often than not, puts him in the reach of zombies which he did not pulverize. If the Combo Card is owned, holding the attack button after doing this will cause Chuck to spin around, swinging the Defiler around in a 360 degree motion. The alternate attack is a horizontal cut, which is effective at clearing a path. Press and hold again to do a second swing. However, a combo weapon created without a combo card cannot perform its alternative (heavy) attack and gains less prestige points from killing zombies.Ĭhuck will do a quick horizontal swing, much like the Sledgehammer by holding briefly. When a combo weapon is created without first acquiring a combo card, a scratch card is obtained instead. Some combo weapons can be purchased from pawnshops and from other survivors.Ĭombo weapons can also be created by trial and error. These cards can also be obtained by examining various posters around Fortune City, rescuing survivors, defeating psychopaths and by purchasing them with money. Combo Cards are most commonly acquired by leveling up, they identify how to make the weapon, unlock special more damaging attacks, and give Chuck more prestige points when killing zombies. Chuck Greene and Frank West (Case West and Off the Record only) can discover how to make combo weapons through Combo cards which tell them how to make certain combo weapons. In Case Zero, Dead Rising 2, Case West, and Dead Rising 2: Off the Record.
